In this story, Norman discovers that the coat was making him miserable and not the wings. Hiding your differences can make us feel more miserable than showing them.
Our differences are an important part of who our identity.

Do you remember meditating in class? I miss meditating with you all!
Meditation is the art of focusing on something (such as a picture, a sound, an object of the imagination, or one’s own breathing). Meditation encourages attention and awareness, as well as mentally and emotionally calm state.
There are lots of different ways to meditate. One way is through breathing exercises.

Do you think Mr. Huff might
return? Why? Have you ever felt like Mr. Huff
or someone like him, was sharing their day? I think Mr. Huff is what Bills' sad feelings look
like.
Can you draw what your sad
feelings might look like if they were a character.
Once you are done, write a letter to your sad feelings telling them how you feel about them
and why.
You could...make your own Mr Huff out of newspapers. Can you write around him what different things you do when you are in a huff?
On my walk yesterday I spotted something through a fence...I wonder what it is?

Pick an animal from the picture below. Can you think about where it's habitat is and what it is like there? Write it in the comments below.
You could... make a habitat diorama for one of the animals.

Write a message to your friend and send it to debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com and I will post it on the blog for your friends in Year 1 to see. 😃

Miss Ali has been spending a lot of time playing Ludo at home. It is a board game that you can play with four players, and only requires a dice and counters.
Do you play any board games? Do you have a favourite game? You can tell me in the comments box below.
Your challenge today is to try and make your own board game. Think about how many players the game can have, what things you will need to play it, how can you win the game? It might be helpful if you write a set of instructions telling people how to play.
