Rainbows

Loose on line net protection games

Yesterday, Miss Ali went out to exercise. On her way back from her run, she saw a rainbow drawing in her neighbours window.😮🌈

That made Miss Ali think....hmmm....how are REAL rainbows made?!

Year 1, can you help me by finding out how rainbows are created? What type of weather do you need for a rainbow to appear? You will need to use the internet to do this research, so remember to be safe online and to work with an adult.

You might even want to make your OWN rainbow drawing, collage or painting. Don't forget to send in your photos!
Children use colored collage material to make a rainbow from cardboard.

Material search

In the Autumn Term we learnt about different materials.

Your job today is to go on a material hunt. Have a look around your home for objects that are made from these types of materials.

How many can you list? You might prefer to group them together and label them like the picture below.

Persuasive writing

This is a story of a carrot crunching dinosaur.

Write a letter to your parents to persuade them to let you have a dinosaur as a pet.
What fun things could you do with it? How would you look after it? What would you name it?
