Last week, Miss Ali created some art work work with a few children. We followed this tutorial on youtube to help us:
It made me miss you all so very much as Sonic always reminds me of Year 1 ๐
Miss Ali found the drawing a bit tricky (you know how she is with her drawing!), but she was tenacious and did not give up. In fact, she felt very inspired by another child's art work. Look how much detail they have put in!

Can you re-write the story of Puffin Peter in your own words?
Remember: when we retell a story, we write in the correct order that the events happened.
I can't wait to read your stories Year 1 ๐
Before writing your story, you might want to make a story map to help you remember the main events. Here is a reminder of what a story map might look like:
To get a double of a number, we add the same number to itself. Watch this Numberblocks episode on doubling:
Now have a go at writing double number facts to 10. Have a look at the example picture to help you get started. You will need two different coloured pencils to do this.
Can you explain what you notice happening each time?
Adults:
I have found this great card game online for doubling, you can print it for free or make it yourself.
