Posting Comments

Hi all, 

A number of children and families have been struggling to post comments on their tablets, iPads and iPhones etc., particularly those made by Apple. Miss Mackenzie has shown tenacity and persevered and has found the solution. 

How to comment on blogs

1. Open the settings on your tablet/iPhone/iPad. 

2. Select Safari from the list of apps. 

3. Scroll through the Safari settings and turn off the setting that says Prevent Cross-Site Tracking. This will allow the blog to check if you are a robot and then send your comments, ideas, thoughts and answers to us and we will be able to publish them on the blog.

Counting

Counting in 10's

When we count up in 10's, we are adding 10 more each time.
When we count down in 10's we are taking away 10 each time.

Phonics - ee

Today's phoneme (sound) of the day is...ee!

Listen and practice the sound here.



We can use the rhyme 'ee, what can you see?' to help us remember it better.

These are words with the sound of the day. You can sound out each part of the word. Have a go at reading these words by yourself:

TIP: Say the special friend first (ee), then Fred talk (say each letter sound e.g s-ee), then the whole word (see). 

 Here is a red word. We cannot sound out these words. Instead we use letter names. Have a go at saying the word 5 times out loud, and then writing it 5 times. You can type it into the 'comments' section underneath if this is easier.

Other activities:

• Can you find anything in your house with an 'ee' sound?
• Can you make up your own alien word with the 'ee' sound?
• Can you write a sentence with an 'ee' word?

Singing Assembly

Hi all, Miss Rader here! 

Singing assembly is always one of the highlights of my week, and I am really missing our weekly sing-a-longs. This afternoon, I will be listening to some of our favourites and having a sing-song, perhaps you can join me. Maybe if you sing loud enough, I will be able to hear you. 

Remember, there is a difference between loud singing and shouting. Loud singing means that we can still hear the notes.... so try singing at mf (mezzo-forte) - medium loud or f (forte) - loud.

So below are some of our favourites - perhaps you can perform them for your parents/carers, show them some of the actions and moves and send us videos of you singing at debeauvoirprimaryschool@gmail.com - I can't wait to see them.
