English - All about Plants

Today in English we're starting to write the first two pages of our non-fiction books on plants. 

What information do we need to include in our non-fiction books?

We decide to write a page on sunflowers and a page on peas today as this is what we've been growing in our edible playground. 

We carried out some further research on each plant so that we could include lots of fascinating facts and accurate information in our writing.

We're starting our new book today which is about a Fox who loves plants, who goes on a quest to find the very rare golden wonderflower.

A readers theatre is when you perform a whole story by reading it aloud with other people and adding in extra effects such as repeating key lines, sound effects or even instruments.

Here are three girls performing the story of; The Wizard, the fairy and the magic chicken;

Who can you create a readers theatre of the Magic Sky Garden with at home?

Will your Mum, Dad, aunty, uncle, brother or sister take part in it with you?

Choose who you want to read each sentence;

You can annotate the story of the Secret Sky Garden in your work pack;

When you're ready perform your readers theatre. You could even video it so that you can watch it yourself.
