Guiseppe Archimboldo - Portraits

Today we are learning about the artist Guiseppe Archimboldo.

He is famous for painting portraits of people using different types of fruit, vegetables, meat and fish.

He would pick food that would have a connection to whatever he was painting. For example if it was Autumn, he would use fruits and vegetables that grow in that season.

Find out more about him by watching the video:

Let's take a look at some of his artwork.

With adult permission, use fruits and vegetables you have at home to make a portrait of yourself.

Send your finished artwork to us at debeauvoirprimary@gmail.com

Billy and the Dragon, Firework alliteration

Today we are learning to use alliteration to describe a scene.

Using crayons and washing over them with water,
or using paint and a straw, can you create a firework picture that is similar to the story?

English - Can you make a folding book on plants?

Today in English we're redrafting and adding to our pages on plants that we wrote yesterday and the day before.
We are going to use handwriting pens and illustrate our work.
First, we made folding books like this one in this video;
We then added a contents page and glossary to our books.
We'd love to see photographs of your finished books if you e-mail;
